Fees

Our school fees below include most school trips, many extra-curricular clubs and daily after-school care. From 2026, public examinations fees will be charged separately.

We charge an annual fee payable in three termly instalments. A sibling discount is available.

Since 1 January 2025, VAT has been applicable to school fees at a rate of 20%. Our termly charges for the 2026/27 academic year are quoted below and are inclusive of VAT.

Junior School (Years 3-6)

  • Wrap-around care from 8am-6pm

Senior School (Years 7-13)

  • Wrap-around care. Breakfast club is open from 7.45am with supervised study or extra-curricular activities running until 5.30pm
  • Learning resources such as textbooks on loan, art and DT materials
  • Individual iPad on long-term loan
  • Curriculum trips and visits
  • Summer Term Enrichment Days**
  • Lunch time and after=school clubs*
  • Yondr mobile phone pouches ***

*Clubs list to be provided each term, denoting clubs with additional charges.
**Activities differ each year and some may be chargeable.
***First pouch is free, any loss of damage will be charged.

School lunches

Lunches are compulsory in all Junior School year groups, and up to and including Year 11. From September 2026, they will cost £347 per term for Junior pupils and £362 per term for Senior students. This is automatically invoiced with your termly fees and VAT is not applicable.

Sixth Formers can bring their own lunch, use the Sixth Form Deli, or opt in for school lunches.

Breakfast club

We offer a pay-as-you-go breakfast club from 7.30am in the Junior School at a cost of £2.90 per day. Breakfast in the Senior School is available from 7.45am and is priced per item. VAT is not applicable to these charges.

FAQs

Are public examinations included in the fees?

Public examination fees will be charged separately and individually, based on students subject choice. These fees will form part of the Summer Term invoice issued by the GDST Fees Office at the end of the Spring Term.

Are trips included in the fees?

All curriculum trips and visits are included in the fees. We also offer a range of extra-curricular trips throughout the year which are published to our school community, each with individual charges

Are there any charges for SEND support?

If it is agreed in consultation with our SENCO, that additional support beyond our standard provision is needed, extra 1:1 lessons will be charged separately

Is there any sibling discount?

For a family with three or more daughters, the GDST offers a 20% sibling discount on the third and subsequent sisters. This continues throughout the school career, even after the two older sisters have left.

Do Redmaids’ High offer bursaries?

Absolutely – we want our school to be accessible to ambitious and able girls across Bristol and beyond, regardless of socio-economic background. For more information about our bursary schemes please click here. 

All students in Year 9 will also be eligible to apply for a Development Grant to support their personal development during their studies in Years 9 to 11. Students can reapply for a second development grant during their time in Sixth Form. For more information about these grants please contact our Admissions team here. 

Is there a registration fee?

Yes, to register with Redmaids’ High, there is a non-refundable fee of £100. There is also an acceptance deposit of £450 to be repaid one your daughter has completed her final term of her time at the school.

At minimum, one full term’s notice must be given, in writing, to the Head otherwise fees in lieu will be charged.
