A Levels and Electives

From September 2024, our Sixth Form offering will ensure that every student has a tailored pathway that supports them in achieving their post-16 goals. With a broad range of subject choices available, students can always find A Levels that interest them.

The majority of our students will take three linear A Levels (some may take four), with external examinations at the end of Year 13, as well as at least one Elective. The Electives are additional qualifications chosen from a diverse range of courses including AS Levels, GCSEs or bespoke certificates such as TEFL online and Food Hygiene.

All students also have the opportunity to complete the highly respected Extended Project Qualification (EPQ); a research-based project allowing students to lead their own study. Students plan and carry out research on a topic that they have chosen and is not covered by their other qualifications. They can use this research to produce a written report and, in the case of practical projects, an artefact or a production.

The EPQ is worth half an A Level and carries UCAS points for university applications.

For more information about the subjects and qualifications we offer please see the Subject Guide Book below. If you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact our Admissions team.
