Taking responsibility

In all walks of life women are taking on more and more leadership roles. Within our school this takes the form of developing moral responsibility as well as simply ‘being in charge’.

Your daughter could become one of our 14 Senior Student Officers or take on another position of responsibility, such as Form Peer Mentor or Common Room Leader. Whichever role she chooses, your daughter will receive all the training needed to deal with it confidently and with excellent judgement.

She may want to contribute to the community through voluntary work, which also teaches new skills and provides a different view of the world. Our girls carry out varied and valued voluntary work, from helping in local primary schools to working with local charities. We also have a school-based programme of fundraising, led by the Sixth Form, which donates thousands of pounds to charity each year.

These opportunities will provide your daughter with valuable experience in taking charge, decision-making, organisation and communication. All these transferable skills are essential preparation for the next stage in any young woman’s life.
