Choosing the right path

Our Sixth Form students know their own mind. That’s why we provide our girls with a choice of curriculum, so they can decide on the route that best suits their way of learning.

Your daughter will have a choice between the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma and A Levels. Both have advantages and your daughter will enjoy academic success whatever she decides. Click the image below for a short video on this:

Small class sizes and high staff ratios mean our Sixth Form teaching staff and tutors really get to know their students. Thanks to these close-knit, supportive relationships we are able to provide a high level of academic monitoring, regular, highly personalised feedback on progress, and valuable individual support.

Building confidence

Open debates offer plenty of opportunities for your daughter to present, challenge and contribute. This will boost confidence and encourage curiosity – vital attributes when it comes to fulfilling her potential.

Teaching generally takes place in our dedicated Sixth Form rooms or in well-equipped subject areas such as the laboratories, or music block, within the main school. There is also a Sixth Form computer suite, which supports and fosters our girls’ independent learning.

In 2017, 42% of entries were the top grades - that is A* or A at A Level and 7 or 6 in the International Baccalaureate Diploma.

Almost three quarters - 72% - of all entries were awarded A*, A or B grade.
