Learning for life

Giving our young women the skills and knowledge to thrive and succeed beyond school is a key focus for us during their Sixth Form years. We want them to leave us fully prepared for the world outside our gates.

Our 'Futures programme’ runs throughout Years 12 and 13 and forms an important part of the curriculum. Your daughter will learn about a variety of topics, from health, welfare, and personal safety to managing stress and creating a positive digital footprint.

She will also cover a number of practical topics such as managing personal finance, developing good interview techniques, cooking on a budget and first aid.

We review the topics each year to make sure they are still relevant to our students and bring in outside agencies and subject specialists for some sessions.

Always there for our girls

Tutor time is also an important part of the day. Tutor groups have two dedicated tutors and an average of 15 students. This creates an intimate and homely environment in which our tutors can really get to know your daughter and develop a supportive working relationship. The girls enjoy pastoral and academic support as well as extensive help with university applications.
