On Sunday, Redmaids' High Orienteering Club headed to the British Schools' Orienteering Championships in the Forest of Dean.
Here they competed against many of the top school runners in the country, holding their own against some tough opposition and terrain.
Emma, Phoebe and Matilda represented the senior school, whilst Leni, Rachel, Louisa, Matilda, Ruby and Annie made up the Junior team.
Even against very experienced schools with vastly greater numbers, the team excelled and we had three podium finishes. Matilda was the bronze medal winning girl at Year 6 level, our Year 5 team won a team bronze for their efforts and the juniors combined results earned them another bronze in the Primary School class. This is a superb set of results and we are very proud of the team's achievement.
