To mark International Women's Day 2018, we unveiled two new blue plaques, approved by The Bristol Civic Society, for three inspirational women.
Agnes Beddoe and Emily and Elizabeth Sturge were former school governors and significant players in the history of women’s rights in the UK.
Alumna Penny Gane, who now heads up Bristol Women's Commission and Bristol Women's Voice (BWV), attended to unveil the plaques.
BWV have this week launched a book, 'The Women Who Built Bristol' that references Agnes, Emily and Elizabeth.
Following the unveiling, around 650 senior school students wearing the suffragist colours of red, green and white, marched around the school with their own, modern day, political banners.
Highlights from the occasion will be shown this evening on BBC Points West and will feature in tomorrow's Bristol Post.
