This morning, every student and member of the Senior School staff team gathered in the brand new, state-of-the-art Redland Hall to hear Headmistress Mrs Tobias speak about pioneers.
“A pioneer is someone who is the first to do something; someone who is pursuing a goal or a dream that is new and adventurous; someone to show us a new way of doing things in a spirit of courage and determination,” she said.
“I hope you will all approach this new and exciting school year as a great adventure from which you each have so much to gain.
“Your success is what makes Redmaids’ High successful”, Mrs Tobias reminded the girls, “and lays the foundation for generations of girls to come.”
The assembly ended with reflection, “As we wonder at the grandeur and splendour of our new school hall, let us be grateful for all that it symbolizes about the strength, excellence and potential of our school.”
