Four of our students attended the Salters' Festival of Chemistry, which was organised by the University of Bath in partnership with the Royal Society of Chemistry.
The day comprised of two chemistry practicals, where the girls had to complete a series of investigations, in competition with 11 schools from across the region, to deduce who committed a crime.
We are delighted that our team were awarded second place when they correctly identified who stole the Salters' centenary trophy. Against such stiff competition this was testament to the girls’ scientific and analytical skills.
In the afternoon, they watched a series of exciting demonstrations about exothermic reactions.
