In yet another fantastic display of teamwork and skill, our U13 netball squad went from strength to strength in the semi-final of the national Smile U13 Independent School Netball Cup.
Today, as they faced Cheadle Hulme School, accurate goal shooting, versatility in the mid-court and outstanding defence meant that all ten players were involved in the 33-16 win.
Our opponents voted Lucy as Player of the Match, and Coach's Awards went to Elena and Saskia.
The girls will now travel to the Redbridge Sports Centre in Ilford for the national netball final on Friday 9th March 2018.
A week later, four of these girls will return to Ilford to compete in the national final of the U13 Smile Independent School Hockey Cup, when they aim to retain the trophy won by Redmaids' High School last year.
Speaking of this double-success Miss Maggs, Director of Sport said, "To reach the national finals in two separate sports is an outstanding sporting achievement. I really have to credit the girls. Not only do they have natural talent and athleticism, but they have also shown immense dedication and determination. They must know that the whole school will be behind them, and cheering them on, as they enter the final stage of these national competitions."
