Top scores for Maddie

It’s been a busy half-term for Maddie, Vice-Captain of the girls’ U15 Gloucestershire County Cricket squad.

She opened the batting against Cornwall and Dorset in two T20 games, and took a wicket against Dorset.

Maddie has spent a lot of time working on her batting technique so was delighted to score 29 against Cornwall – her highest county score yet in a 20 over match. She also played against Wales, in Swansea, in a 40 over match.

The end of a busy week ended on a real high, when Maddie received the invitation, as part of a performance squad of 15, to tour Sri Lanka next February.

Speaking of her success, Miss Maggs Director of Sport said, “Maddie is a naturally gifted sportswoman who represents the school, at the highest level, in a number of sports. The dedication she shows to her cricket, in addition to her school commitments, is extremely commendable and I am delighted to see her hard work pay off.”
