Performing at the Edinburgh Fringe

Students performed the Grimm Tales by Carol Ann Duffy at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival

A group of students performed the Grimm Tales by Carol Ann Duffy at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this summer. Having successfully promoted the show on the Royal Mile, the girls played to packed houses over a six day period in August.

Speaking of the experience, the Head of Drama Ms McCormack said, “The joy of this particular project was the high-quality of the ensemble work. The group ranged in age from 14 to 17 but they worked exceptionally well as a team.

“In particular, I would like to credit some of the Sixth Form students who took responsibility for certain aspects of the show.  In addition to performing, Elena took charge of the choreography, and successfully created dance sequences that fitted the folksy nature of the production.

Emily did a superb job of arranging and playing all the music and Becca proved herself to be an outstanding Technician who completely ran the show!

Above all, we had a fantastic time creating and performing a bespoke piece of theatre.”
