Hard hat tour for girls

More than 30 students enjoyed a special educational opportunity during a visit around the construction site of the new Redland Hall at Westbury.

The girls ranging in age from 9 to 18 are interested in subjects that could lead to careers in architecture and building, and from the questions being asked - and answered - many of them already have a good grasp of what is involved!

A hard-hat tour of the two-storey building was led by architect Rob Mitchell and site manager Mike Casey, giving everyone a really good feel for how the new hall, classrooms and surrounding areas are shaping up.

Pictured here are girls in Years 9 to 13.
