European Junior Squash Champion

Karina Tyma, European Junior Squash Champion

It’s been an exciting time for Karina Tyma, who left Redmaids’ High having completed her A Levels in 2018.

She has since become the Girls Under 19 European Junior Squash Champion having won all her matches in Prague in straight games, beating the number 1 seed on her way. This means she has finished her Junior career on a real high.

But things don’t end there. She has been awarded with a full athletic scholarship to study Political Science at Drexel University in Philadelphia where she will start as a Freshman this Autumn.

Prior to that though she is committed to squash tournaments throughout the summer as she competes in Italy, France, Bulgaria, Armenia and Poland.

It was lovely to see Karina when she popped in to school to catch up with staff, and we wish her all the very best for the future.
