Over 30 runners from Redmaids’ High School ran the Bristol 10K on Sunday to raise funds for the Jong School in Cambodia, which a group of our Sixth Form students will teach at this summer.
The fastest time was from Kate Hamilton (Y12) with 45mins 58secs, Phoebe Cullum (Y10) ran 49 mins 40 secs, Rachel Hyde (Y12) ran 51mins 08secs and Sophie Pyke (Y12) ran 52 mins 23 secs. Nikita Iles and her mum crossed the line together in exactly the same time of a little over an hour, as did Ella Harrison and Arabella Atkins, Hazel Reade and Molly Drake in Year 11.
So far, approximately £1,800 has been raised … but it’s not too late to make a donation! You can sponsor runners at https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/uwscambodia2017 or by texting REDH55 followed by the amount to 70070.
This is the seventh year staff, students and parents have taken part in this race - raising over £25,000 to date - to support the work of United World Schools.
