Archibald’s War was won at the Junior School

Performance of the wartime children’s musical Archibald’s War

Last week, years 5 and 6 showcased their acting and singing talents in a two night performance of the wartime children’s musical Archibald’s War.  The play tells the story of Archibald - a teddy bear that gets left behind on a train when his owner Maggie’s city is bombed during the Second World War.

All the girls were given the opportunity to perform on stage on the Wednesday or Thursday night, and they performed as part of the musical chorus on the other night.  Their hard work in rehearsals paid off through the energy and enthusiasm they delivered on stage, thoroughly enjoyed by a toe-tapping audience of friends and family.

The special effects and staging so readily available in Redland Hall enhanced the performance further.  Well done to all the pupils and the staff involved in organizing such a wonderful show.
