The Classics Department was delighted to host Mara Gold, D.Phil student from St Hilda's College, Oxford, at their annual Classics Dinner.
Everyone enjoyed a beautiful meal and a stimulating talk about how the study and performance of classical plays were used to support powerful messages about women's education and rights in the early twentieth century.
This is a message which we thought rang true for all the students present, who enjoy the benefits of a range of classical subjects in their own education at our school.
