Introduction to Junior School
Welcome to Redmaids’ High Junior School in Bristol; a busy, happy, purposeful place, where girls positively thrive.
Our small class sizes mean we really know each and every individual, and so can provide them with the educational support, pastoral care and opportunities they need.
We have high expectations of our girls and actively encourage them to speak up, put themselves forward and always be prepared to ‘have a go’.
We consider ourselves to be the best independent school for girls in Bristol, and there is no better advert for us than our happy, active girls. For that reason, I hope you will join us at one of our Junior School Visiting Events or at a time that’s convenient for you.
I look forward to meeting you,
Lisa Brown

An opportunity for everyone
How do you know you don’t like caving if you haven’t tried? Who would have thought Mathematics club could be so much fun? Never performed in a play? Now is your chance.
Everyone here can pursue a wide range of interests – in academia, sports, music, drama, art and through a packed extra-curricular calendar. This helps our girls discover where their interests and talents lie, and in doing so develops self-confidence and positive self-esteem.
As we say to them, ‘Never underestimate what you are capable of.’ We certainly don’t.
Our Admissions Process
We’ve put together a Junior School admissions timeline to guide you through the application process.

”The culture at Redmaids' High Juniors supports my daughter to flourish and encourages her passions. She feels comfortable to take risks here and has grown in confidence as well as in her overall happiness since joining the school this year, whilst continuing to excel academically and in sport. We couldn’t ask for more!
