Introduction to Junior School
Our small class sizes mean we really know each and every individual, and can provide them with the educational support, pastoral care, stretch and challenge opportunities they need.
We also have high expectations of our girls and actively encourage them to speak up, put themselves forward and always be prepared to ‘have a go’.
How do you know you don’t like caving if you haven’t tried? Who would have thought Mathematics club could be so much fun? Never performed in a play? Now is your chance.

Everyone here can pursue a wide range of interests – in academia, sports, music, drama, art and through a packed extra-curricular calendar. This helps our girls discover where their interests and talents lie, and in doing so develop self-confidence and positive self-esteem.
As we say to them, ‘Never under-estimate what you are capable of doing.’ We certainly don’t and know you as parents don’t either.
We consider ourselves to be the best independent school for girls in Bristol, and there is no better advert for us than our happy, active girls. For that reason, I hope you will join us at one of our Junior School Visiting Events or at a time that’s convenient for you.
”Mabel has only been at Redmaids’ High for a couple of months but is thriving and has a sparkle and a level of confidence she simply didn’t have before. The ‘this girl can’ ethos that oozes from the school and its staff is truly fantastic.Mrs Downing, mother of Mabel, Year 3
