We regularly welcome expert speakers who give added depth to our students' learning but we also hold a number of evening talks and concerts that are open to the public.

All events take place at Redland Hall on our Senior School campus, unless otherwise stated. The address is Westbury Road, Westbury-on-Trym, Bristol. If using satellite navigation, enter the postcode BS9 3AN. Free parking is available on site and on surrounding roads. Please park considerately to our neighbours.

Alan Schiller, Piano Recital, Friday 15 February, 7.30pm

We are thrilled to announce that Allan Schiller, one of the Britain’s finest pianists, will be giving a public concert at our very own Redland Hall next month.

Originally from Leeds, his performing career began at age nine, when he performed a movement of a Haydn concerto with the Yorkshire Symphony Orchestra. Only a few months later he appeared as soloist in a Mozart concerto with the Halle Orchestra under the great Sir John Barbirolli.

At 18, he became the first British pianist to win a scholarship to the Tchaikovsky Conservatoire in Moscow, under the tutelage of Professor Victor Merzhanov. He has played with every major British orchestra, is a popular BBC performer and has made numerous recordings bringing additional success.

The programme will include:

Mozart - Sonata No. 11 in A major (K331)
Beethoven - Piano Sonata No. 21 in C major (Op. 53)
Schumann - Kinderscenen.

Tickets are available from Ticketsource UK, £10 adults, £8 concessions. Small additional booking fees apply.

Doors open at 7.00pm.
