The site in Westbury-on-Trym provides an inspirational backdrop for learning, with space for your daughter to relax and enjoy. The 12-acre campus has a countryside feel, despite being just a stone’s throw from the city centre.
Junior School - Grange Court Road
In this popular residential neighbourhood the school has steadily expanded to meet the high demand for places.
In 2008, we built a two-storey extension that now houses new classrooms, a library, an assembly/performance hall, a fully equipped art studio and music rooms. In 2015 we added two more classrooms and in 2017, a further two and a fantastic new outdoor play area.
Our outside space is full of interest for young minds. It includes natural and artificial grassed areas for games, wooden climbing frames, a pirate ship, pagoda, tepees and a mini climbing wall, all surrounded by protective surfaces.
Senior School - Westbury Road
At the heart of our Senior School campus is Burfield House, built in the 19th century as a private family home. As well as classrooms and offices, this building houses our Pearson Library and Dining Hall. These wonderful facilities were completely renovated in 2014.
In contrast to our traditional centre, but fitting in seamlessly, is Redland Hall. This brand new building was officially opened in September 2017 by Alumna Professor Alice Roberts. It provides a modern performance space and auditorium, complete with flexible seating, first-class lighting and acoustically engineered sound systems. It also houses new classrooms, additional music practice rooms and an area for serving refreshments at key school events.
Another recent building is our light, contemporary Sixth Form Centre, opened in 2011. It provides a university-style, independent learning space for Years 12 and 13.
Exceptional sports facilities are a hallmark of our school. At our sports ground, The Lawns at Cribbs Causeway, we have an International Hockey Federation (FIH) Certified pitch banked by elevated mounds for spectators to enjoy a great view of the action. There is also a new multi-purpose area that can be used for both netball and tennis and an extensive athletics, crickets and rounders space. The students also take part in netball, basketball, fencing, judo, dance and gymnastics in our multi-use Sports Hall on the site in Wesbury-on-Trym, and use our outdoor netball courts and separate grass pitches for football, running, athletics and rounders.
A detached former stable block echoes with music from our teaching rooms, rehearsal spaces and practice rooms. Students can also access specialist recording equipment and individual workstations with keyboards and Apple computers.
Six fully equipped, modern laboratories provide everything the Science Department needs, while the Art Department has room to be creative with two large studio spaces, a computer suite and a library.
