If your daughter is very able we will ensure she is stretched and challenged through wide-ranging opportunities outside the core curriculum. These include taking part in events such as Maths Challenges, Spelling Bees, the First Lego League Robotics Challenge and the Junior Memory Championship.
The Junior School also looks for interesting opportunities further afield. Courses at Kilve Court, online programmes run by Oxford University and Saturday master-classes have inspired many able students to greater heights. Girls interested in music, drama and sport can also take part in a wealth of concerts, plays and sports fixtures to develop skills and showcase their talents.
Helping every girl achieve more
We are equally committed to supporting any girl with a specific learning difficulty, such as dyslexia or dyscalculia. Our specialist teachers offer one-to-one lessons tailored to meet the needs of individual girls.
If your daughter needs ad-hoc support we can arrange that too, with additional help in areas such as phonics, reading or writing skills. To overcome these learning obstacles as effectively as possible, we create an Individual Education Plan. This is closely monitored and regularly reviewed.
If you’d like to talk about how we can best develop your daughter’s talents, please come and see us.
